Salon time clock
A salon time clock tied to the schedule and the floor
In most salons the schedule lives in one app and the punch clock in another. In Fair Flow they are the same system, on the same platform as the turn system, tickets and team inbox.
Clock-in opens when the owner says
The owner sets how early a clock-in can open: 15 minutes before the shift, or 30. A 2:00 shift does not open at 1:00. Until that window, the clock stays closed.
Photo, location and kiosk
- Clock-in and clock-out take a photo of the employee
- The owner sets the salon location, and the clock works only from that area
- A kiosk is available for the floor
Time off blocks the schedule
Employees request vacation from the employee inbox. When an admin approves it, that time is blocked on the staff schedule automatically, so no shift is scheduled on those hours. See salon staff scheduling.
How it relates to the turn system
The clock and the turn tracker sit on the same platform, but clocking in does not add anyone to the walk-in queue automatically. Joining the queue is its own step.
What it is not
- It does not file payroll
- It does not pool tips
- It does not process client payments
